Dangerously cold temperatures are expected to continue over this weekend and through next week. The northwest Missouri area could see weekend drops fall to -5 degrees with a chance of 3 to 5 inches of snowfall on Saturday.
Meteorologist Jared Layton says the dropping temperatures are just the start of several days of freezing weather.
